Brightness of the highlighter ink water for 4 hours in a scale over 10
Analysis on the brightness of three different highlighters in each hour for four hours
Conclusion
After investigating about light, electromagnetic spectrum, phosphorus etc, i can conclude that my hypothesis is supported. In my hypothesis I stated that if i added highlighter ink into water and then expose it to UV rays from a flash light and put it in a dark room, then it is going to glow in the dark, because of the reaction of the exposure of phosphorus to the radiation of UV light. I also stated that out of the three colors that i tested in my experiment that the yellow highlighter water will glow more , this was also supported by the information of my research and by the results of my experiment; light colors reflect more, while dark colors absorb more colors, that is why in this experiment, since yellow was the lighter and brighter color, it reflected more light than the others and glowed more. We can see in the graph that the yellow water was always the one that glowed more since hour 1, the other ones were mot so behind, but still, the yellow one was the brightest. During this experiment, i tested what color of hughlighter glowed more, using three different colors of highlighters of the sane brand; one recommendation for something i could do the next time is using three defferent highlighters but not of the same brand, to testbwhat brand makes the most glow and see if its the same or its different snd make it better. I was pretty happy with my experiment results because it turned out how i thought it would and i accomplished my objective and answered my scientific question.
